What is Persnickety Living?
Persnickety Living is changing! I will be updating this site to include my vintage shop: Passport to Vintage. Stay tuned!

Who am I?
My name is Kit. I was born and raised in California but consider myself to be a global citizen. I currently live in Portland, Oregon and part time in Villefranche-de-Rouergue, France. I am a plant-based traveler, vintage home decor reseller, YouTuber, and blogger.

What can you find here?
Travel
Travel has always been my passion, so that is the main focus here. I hope to share my experiences and give insight and tips for destinations all over the world.

Thrifting & Reselling
I’ve always loved old historical things, and I’ve been a collector since childhood. I love the thrill of a good bargain hunt at thrift stores, estate sales, and antique shops. My passion about second-hand shopping has turned into second-hand selling! I currently have an Etsy shop, Passport to Vintage, where I sell vintage and antiques and a YouTube channel full of “thrift with me” videos.
Food
I love food–who doesn’t, right? But in an effort to help the planet I have been vegan or vegetarian for the last several years. On top of that, I have several food allergies (wheat, corn, soy, and peanuts). While eating at home is easy, eating out, especially while traveling, is not.

Lifestyle
I also want to encourage you and give you some ideas of how you can be more sustainable, too.
There’s a lot of information out there, and it’s difficult to wade through it all. Therefore, I want to give you a welcoming place to share ideas that inspire. I know it’s not easy being “green” in this plastic-filled world, but if we make conscious steps, however small, we can all make a difference.

Is Persnickety Living free?
Well, yes and no. First, the content is free for YOU to read always. BUT! This blog costs (me) money to run…you know, things like annual fees for a domain name, monthly charges for web hosting, etc. I’m trying to run as lean as I can, and I would love to make enough money to cover the costs.
This has lead me to monetize my site. You may see ads and affiliate links on my pages and posts. I try to keep these to a minimum, and I only promote products or services that I believe in.
If you decide to click on a link or ad here on Persnickety Living, know that it doesn’t cost you any more money, but I will receive a small commission.
I have a Resources page to help you and help me. 🙂
